Round Lift Table
Round lift table. This circular scissor lift table is used for lifting people up and down within a furnace whilst restoring the kiln brick lining. These lifts are usually lowered into the kiln by crane and have special reinforced baseframes that can be levelled on very uneven surfaces. Typically such a lifting platform would carry 2 operatives as well as 1 tonne of new facing bricks. Circular lift tables have also been used as stages in night clubs and as wheel chair lifts for the mobility restricted and less-abled.
Another feature of this lift is the protective cover over the cylinder rods, other methods of protecting the cylinder rods include a flexible gaiter or sock.
